Horrendous service tried to open up a joint account with my husband who has been with them for years to pay in cheques that had been given to us as wedding presents and therefore made out in my married name - wouldn't allow us to have joint account even though I paid my Mortgage off ten years ago so my credit rating was good! No reason why refusal was given - I have been with my bank Firstdirect since they opened and they are fantastic! My son needed a Mortgage so I went to see them some three to four months ago in High Wycombe (thought I'd give them a second chance) - still waiting for telephone call from Mortgage Advisor as promised by member of staff who had gone to see her and was asked to take down all details including mobile number etc - was taken into room and told that should be no problem at all. Details passed onto her and message received that she would definately get back that day!!!!! Go to Firstdirect
