Booked my car in a week in advance with the Basingstoke branch for (in this particular order): snapped handbrake cable repair and MOT. Got MOT “done” and no handbrake (despite staff knowing about the problem beforehand)! Obviously the car did not pass MOT because of … handbrake! As an explanation the branch manager told me “ it wasn't his problem that the supplier delivered too long cable” and he “doesn't want me here” when I questioned about sense of carrying out the MOT test under these circumstances. He did not fail thou to charge me for MOT test. Having this experience I feel lucky that I did not get charged for the handbrake repair… Good luck to all risk takers with Mr Clutch the Basingstoke branch!
