On arrival at Cancun airport it took us three hours to actually get into our rooms at resort which was only a 15 minute drive away. There appeared to be some confusion around getting us all together and bringing our luggage in one go. Also on checking out from the resort we had to wait again for our taxi which not only arrived late but on the way to the airport the driver got into a panic as he did not have all our names on the list and he wanted to return to the resort which would have meant we would have all missed our flight. This state of panic was conveyed through a frustrated Mexican outburst as the driver had no English. This apparently was not his fault but the fault of the operator who gave him a list with some wrong names on it. The taxi stopped on the side of the road and proceeded to make a phonecall in his native language and eventually continued taking us to the airport which we just made on time. Thankfully one of our group had an airport contact person who met us inside the airport and facilitated each of us with a speedily check in.
