“Good result in the end”

written by 389McKenna on 24/05/2014

Galaxy S3 went and jumped out of my pocket and decided to smash its screen, phone was booting but screen blank and unusable. Gutted. Rang about and cheapest quote was £140 for new screen to be fitted, £84 for 'genuine' screen on ebay, but not happy to fit myself so rang Virgin and explained. Had to print off fill out scan and email back the claim form but no big deal there. Few hours later had email asking me to ring back, claim approved, took delivery details and £70 excess fee (cheaper than all my other options)phone arrived next day. Refurbished but looked like new. Sent old one back but 2 days later it started switching on and off and on and off randomly by itself, also photos I'd taken of kids all had black spot in the middle. Rang em back and explained, had to email proof of postage before they'd send another as original broken one hadn't got to them yet, and next day a brand new spanker arrived NOT refurb one. So... for £70 and my old smashed one which was year old I've got a new phone with 2yr warranty. So seeing as it's free insurance its certainly saved me a few bob and the service I got was fine. After reading other reviews I'm waiting for the call or email saying they made a mistake lol. Guess it's luck of the draw on service but I've certainly dealt with worse.!!
