“Don't take complaints seriously”

My husband and I pay over 200 per month to virgin active. He swims 2 to3 times per week at Finchley Road and I swim most weekdays at Bank Classic. He asked to borrow a lock the other day and was told he could only buy it for 10 pounds. Like we just walked in off the street rather than long term members having paid thousands! So they had the locks but wouldn't lend one. We complained and got a mail back today saying it's the fault of people who borrow them and don't bring back! What's that got to do with us? They had the locks as they offered to sell one. it's the last straw really as nothing we have ever asked for got sorted. I am trying to find an ombudsman body to protect consumers like us from this constant money grabbing.
