Ìhave spent 8 telephone calls from Amsterdam to the Uk today in an effort to cancel a stolen debit card. The service from Co-op is shocking. The number on the web site requires you to enter your account number - impossible once on holiday - and then puts you through to an automated "we're happy to help"type service, which is totally unhelpful. I've now used around 30 minutes of international telephone time, just to get through to a real person. As soon as I get home I will be cancelling my account.
