“16th birthday RUINED. Money WASTED. ”

I spent all my 16th birthday money on computer parts. Literally set my family back and I'm not just saying that. It was about £400 worth of parts including an Athlon 4, 8gb ram and a gtx 650.

I got it to so school work and occasionally play minecraft, dayz, guild wars 2 and such with my brother and nephew.


Ordered it for next day delivery. It came in 8 days! 5 working days! Called scan who I bought it from 4 days after order and they said a part was holding it up at the warehouse due to being out of stock. If I did not call I would not have found out!!!!!
Bearing in mind my mother had to take a day off work to wait for this, a day of wages wasted as it didn't come.

Came to building it. Disaster. Io shield was hard to fit, motherboard was bent. No sata cables with motherboard. Bearing in mind this isn't the motherboard I was intending to get! It was the one I got because the other one was out of stock.

Come to find out scan don't give refunds! They just replace parts. And I paid £5 or something extra for secures can which they say is an extra warranty in case you do something wrong. I didn't do anything wrong, they did! And I can't get a money refund!

That means my 16th birthday, ruined since we spent all the money on a PC for me and not a party. Present, ruined. Time, wasted. Delivery money from next day delivery, gone. Mums wages for the day, gone. Never touching computers again.
