Just got a quote online in excess of £18,000.00. I have 11 years no claims bonus and my son has 1 year no claims bonus.

My son is 19 and in full time education (university). Because he is between 17-24 and male he is automatically classed as high risk.

He has a black box on his current vehicle so perhaps insurers can obtain the data recorded within the box, prior to preparing such an outrageous quotation!

Acorn have quoted £18,000.00, knowing that my son is in full time university and will only drive the vehicle when he is home the odd weekend / holidays.
