“Coop Insurance Temporary Driver”

On 12 February 2014 I put my son on my Coop Motor Insurance policy for a period of 4 weeks whilst I was in hospital. On 13 February he was stopped by the policy and informed that he was not insured on my policy. I have made several calls to their Manchester office asking for written confirmation that my son was covered on this policy. They have cofirmed during out telephone conversations that he was put on cover on 12 February and would send written cofirmation of this; my numerous calls have not received any written fonfirmation. We have now received correspondence from the Procurator Physical office stating that he will receive a £300 fine together with 6 points on his licence. I don't understand why they can't confirm in writing when they say they will.
