I collected a silver ford fiesta from enterprise at 11.15 at night. When I returned it they blamed me for damage that I could not possibly have seen on collection. There was a silver graze that could only be seen from one angle in bright sunlight so definately could not have been seen in the dark. They have charged £1100 to my credit card which I have of course disputed. When I have hired cars before & collected them at night other car hire companies have told me to inspect it the following morning, in daylight, & inform them then of any damage. With Enterprise, this is not an option. I will never use them again & strongly recommend anybody thinking of using them to avoid them at their peril. But certainly inspect every inch of the car as they will blame you for the slightest thing. I firmly believe the assistant manager who dealt with the hire knew there was damage and this was his way of getting it repaired. Lone female, very late at night, free upgrade of car. Avoid at your peril, particularly at gatwick airport south terminal. If anybody else has had a similar experience I would love to hear from them.
