“Incompetent”

I applied for an account with these monkeys online and was told that I was accepted and to wait for them to contact me. I received a phone call saying that I should take my ID to my local branch. I took my ID and was told that my application had been rejected even before they looked at my ID. I told them that I had been called and told to bring my ID. They insisted that no one would have made such a call. In other words I was a liar. I showed them their number in my call log and they then said that head office had rejected me and there was nothing they could do about it and that I will receive a rejection letter in a few days and that would give me a chance to appeal. I did indeed receive a letter saying that I had been accepted "in principle" and that I should call in show my ID.

Obviously the online process is meaningless as was the follow up letter that probably came automatically from the same source.

If you want to give these monkeys a go I would go into a branch and take your ID at the same time and if they cannot give you an account number there and then go tell them to self fornicate.
