I purchased the saw, Husqvarna 455 Rancher about three years ago. I used it once for about an hour. Drained the gas tank and ran until engine quit for storage. Several months later I had another job for it so I took the saw out of the case and all the oil had leaked out of the saw. Messy !! I then decided that when I would put the saw away in it's case I would drain the oil. However, that was very inconvenient. Recently I bought oiler parts for the 455 from ereplacement parts on line. I replaced the two oil tubes which was not easy on the one in the crankcase. Lo and behold it still leaks, just as before. This is a manufacturing problem and after all this time now I am saddled with the saw and oiler problem.
This oil problem with the 455 is not just a little oil leakage after use,
which happens with many chainsaws, but a definite problem. 03/24/14
