“It will cost you dear”

If you think you are buying the same service a main dealer would run then beware, in my case i know some items were not done because the garage that was contracted by Servicing Stop Ltd told me so when returning the car. I have checked by asking for a detailed phone quote from my main dealer. Also I don't yet have a detailed invoice (assuming I ever will) as it takes 2 to 3 days after payment for Servicing Stop Ltd to send them out - they advise so in their email asking for payment. The dealing garage itself doesn't provide any executed service schedule. So you cant really review anything at the point of payment. Servicing Stop Ltd will also prevent the dealing garage from returning the car until payment is made so you are not in a strong position to discuss anything with no detailed info for review and time running against you.
If you think you are getting a good deal then wait until they call back with the 'extras'. They have charged me for two extras (brake fluid replacement, and pollen filter at almost £130 combined) at a price distinctly higher than than main dealer quotes, and one of which is part of the standard main dealer service anyway so shouldn't have been treated as extra. That increased the original service quote from the already 'full service' plus Mot cost from £228 to a nice £356, then charged an extra 2.5% for payment card use resulting in a final cost of £365. That cost is above a full price quote from the Main dealer covering all the extras charged by Servicing Stop Ltd so I would have been better off just going to the main dealer direct and asking them for a discount, which they have always agreed to in the past.
When I challenged the staff at Servicing Stop Ltd with the poor value of their service, they started hiding behind process and requesting a written quote from the main dealer, despite me already going through the phone quote with them that i have just received from the main dealer, but also the last service bill from that same main dealer. So if you think the value add proposition for using a third party company like this is service, then think again. These guys help themselves first.
Needless to say I will deal directly with the garage in the future. All they do is hold you to ransom, add a significant markup to any extra costs to the original quote, with no transparency and effectively deliver a sub standard service for a cost that is higher than main dealer.
To top it up, The car was not returned on time and I had to call their offices to ask what was going on. That was despite me paying as soon as prompted and confirmng to one of their staff on the phone as payment was being made.
