My wife bought us a two night bed and BREAKFAST weekend break to Venice from this company for my birthday via Groupon. We returned on Monday 17th March 2014.
Getting there was fine and all was as expected. What we hadn't planned on, nor had it been pointed out on any info from them, was the journey home!
Our return flight was scheduled to leave Treviso airport (1 hour from Venice by bus @ €18 return). The hotel was on Lido which is 34 minutes from the bus station by Waterbus. This would mean that we would have to leave Venice at around 8 in the morning to get to the airport to catch the flight. Unfortunately, on a Monday (the normal day to go home after a weekend break) the buses leave Venice at 7.10 & 9.10 in the morning. We therefore had to get the 7.10 to get to the airport in time. This means that we had to leave the hotel at 6.30 latest to make the 34 minute journey by Waterbus. The hotel serves breakfast between 7 and 10 so we had to leave before breakfast was available.
On our return, I complained at this poor organisation of flights and the fact that it could not be a two night bed and BREAKFAST break because of this. Their response was that we should have found an alternative method of getting to the airport to catch the 10.05 flight!! They suggested a taxi which would cost €100 plus!!
Avoid this shower at all costs or at least check out the details of their offer before parting with your cash. It's what they don't tell you that you need to research.
