Now that all other competition has gone bust or stopped doing games, Boomerang and Games Frenzy are they only options left, and it seems like Boomerang suffer from too many customers.
Their range and supply of games are pretty good and they send your next game out fast. The have a good range of membership types and options to get games faster or focus more on your top 5. Also if you pay for 6 months in advance its very cheap.
The problem is when something goes wrong, their customer service is practically non existent. If you actually get a response to a problem its very good, like if a disk gets lost in the post they don't make you pay for it or have to fight with Royal Mail to claim for it, they just say if you stay subscribed for a few more months it will cover the cost.
However it may take several weeks to get a reply to your email or you may never get a reply.
The other problem is that for every problem, no matter how small, you have to email them. With Lovefilm if you need a new return envelope you click I need a new envelope and they send you one. If a disk is faulty you click faulty disk and they send another copy out while you send the faulty one back.
With Boomerang you have to type out your problem and email it to them and wait god knows how long for them to read it. If you send back a faulty disk they you will probably receive your next game as normal before they read the email about it.
Their contact us page has red text added on that they have high demand and replies may take a few more days, but it has been there about a year.
