“Icelandic Northern Lights and Whale Watching Trip”

Wow was a basic but adequate airline. Reykjavik Lights hotel was clean and the staff very helpful, room cleaned every day and also towels and bedding changed. Twenty minute walk into town which we did not mind as we could walk along the bay. Plenty to see in Reykjavik and we found a very good vegetarian restaurant called Graenn Kostur, well worth making the effort to find it. We had coffee and watched a film in the volcano café, went in the new church and up the tower for wonderful views across the bay, went inside the concert hall and heard them practicing. Walked in the botanical gardens and watched people skating on the lake. We joined the Golden Circle day trip which took us to see the rift valley, amazing geysirs, Gullfoss waterfall and a power plant to finish. We had the added bonus of seeing the Northern lights on Monday evening. Our whale watching trip was cancelled due to bad weather.
