“Expensive poor quality :( Very poor customer service”

written by on 18/02/2014

I bought a very stylish pair of suede ankle boots which were on sale - half price at £90. Thank God I did not pay the full price. The boots were rubbish from the start with the dye rubbing off on my heel despite wearing socks. The dye actually ruined many pairs of my socks but I was willing to forgive because I loved the boots. They looked good and were comfortable. However, they began to look shabby quite quickly so I endeavoured to spruce them up with protector spray and a rubber/wire brush. Rainy weather- despite avoiding splashes and puddles resulted in the boots being wet (like a sponge) and even more dye saturating my feet. I did begin to have doubts about the quality of the boots but persevered because the boots had lovely sparkly heels and were comfy. The last straw was with two holes appearing in the front toe area which I only discovered when my toes were saturated. This is not what I expect from such an expensive pairs of boots. Of course I did question myself- had I looked after these boots? Yes definitely - I bought the boots in November and by January they were unwearable. I cleaned and brushed the boots regularly. Who wants to wear £90 boots with holes in them? I was really disappointed with the boots and took them back to the shop expecting a refund. However, the sales assistant took then through the back of the shop for the manager to inspect presumably and returned saying the boots would have to be sent back to the workshop. I was not happy with this because I had done nothing wrong other than actually wear the boots. I felt the staff mistrusted what I conveyed to them. I obliged their request because I was certain that good sense would prevail and on further inspection the faults would become apparent. Sadly no, I have been sent a letter saying that the holes on the front indicate I have caught the boots somewhere causing the holes. This is really not true I am a very honest person and if I had mis used the boots I would be the first person to confess and not seek re compense. I am a genuine customer who is not satisfied with the quality nor service of Kurt Geiger. I will not purchase shoes from there again and would advise fashion conscious girls to seek elsewhere. The price does not indicate quality. The assistants I dealt with were not open nor honest and if they had a problem with my return they should have indicated this face to face. I am a professional person and would have dealt with this in a professional way. It was almost as if he staff were reluctant to approach the issue-maybe they know the quality of the products they sell do not match wear and tear or the price........
Dis satisfied customer on many levels- product quality, service. Fashionable girls- don't waste your money buying fro KG... :(
