A year ago another driver undertook me at a roundabout with the intention of getting ahead of me into lane we both wanted. We had a small collision. I reported the accident to the police and Saga the following morning. I had a passenger in my car who corroborated my account of the accident: the other driver was alone. There were no other witnesses and no CCTV recording. I produced a detailed plan of the scene of the accident clearly showing the movement of both vehicles prior to the accident. I also provided photos showing the lane instructions which the other driver had failed to observe.
The female that I first spoke to at Saga immediately decided that I was to blame and, against all the evidence, this was the conclusion of all the persons I dealt with subsequently at this terrible company. The quality of the staff with whom I had to deal left me frustrated on every occasion. After a year of constant badgering, and only because I had legal cover, the case was passed to their legal Department who appear to have just the same lack of interest in supporting my case. They have STILL not got a plan of the incident from the other driver but are obviously keen to just concede!!!
