“Broken Promises”

In October 2012 I found my bowel cancer had returned and as was inoperable and I would require Chemo treatment for as long as I could take it (the rest of my life). I approached Benenden to see if there was any financial support available as my journey to hospital is a 52 mile round trip.
I was advised that I would be supported for a total amount of upto £5000 or Two years to cover parking and an amount towards fuel. Here we are 15 months down the line and support has been removed with out any explanation and we have only claimed in the region £800.

We have been members for 40 years and introduced other members too. I would like to add that, the attitude has changed greatly in this last 9 months. It feels like some one else is now running the scheme. I always found in the past that I could find someone to talk to, it now seems like I'm talking to robots........ very very dissapointing.
