The Verandah resort and Spa on Antigua is a great place if you want privacy, peace and quiet. Although nearly full during our stay it never felt over populated and at times seemed deserted, even in popular areas like the adult pool or Rasta beach. The accommodation, laid out as semi detached bungalows, offer privacy and space, with large balconies overlooking the two bays that make up the resort. The landscaping of the resort is superb and there's abundant wildlife to see, including hummingbirds and brown pelicans that plunge in to the water for fish right in front of you!
There's a good choice of eating choices, with Nicole's fine dining worth the supplement for all inclusive guests and the staff were always polite, cheerful and happy to help you.
We give the Verandah 9/10 and would recommend it to anyone who's looking for a high quality all inclusive resort on Antigua but doesn't want the large Sandal's experience
Our only complaint is at time of booking we weren't aware that our return flight was via Bardados, which added 3 hours to the journey and exposed us to a frustrating transit procedure in Bardados which needs to be improved
