Not impressed with this bank at all. Moving from New Zealand to the UK and basing myself in London they were pretty quick to set me up with an account ready for when I arrived. HOWEVER they only set me up with a maestro card. At the time I didn't think anything of it, until I began trying to book holidays and travel and had to pay for everything on my NZ credit card! When I emailed them they told me this was a common issue and that they could swap me to a MasterCard, why didn't they just do this in the first place?? I had to close my account and open a new one and set up all my direct debits again, it was such an unnecessary hassle. Now after all that I unfortunately miss placed my bank card and had to cancel the card. I rang them to try to organise a new card and I have been told twice that I will have to go in to their branch to do so. Normally I would be fine with this as its pretty standard but the fact that they have one branch in London which will take me an hour each way to get to is just ridiculous! I now have to take half a day of un paid time of work to do this. Needless to say I am now in the process of changing banks.
