We have paid £4000 for a holiday to Mauritius and Dubai. Two weeks before due to fly out, were left an answer phone message from Holiday Place to say could we ring them as they had some information about the hotel.
Upon booking initially in January , I was offered this hotel on inquiring about another deal.
I had concerns about this particular hotel as it was advertised to open early January and had not opened but was assured that it was opening15 th February and there was no concerns .I left a message on Saturday for someone to give a ring to let me know what this information was.No one telephoned me .Yesterday I telephoned again and was told that the spa facilities were not functional .upon ringing the hotel I have found out that there are only two restaurants functioning although four had been advertised,there is no gym and spa .One has to go next doors hotel to use theirs and work is being carried out at the hotel.
Upon speaking to the manager and asking for an equivalent hotel to the same standard she gave us a choice of two with neither of them giving free wi fi .The outrigger offered free wi fi.As wi fi can be so expensive we asked to stay at this hotel but to compensate could we have a free upgrade or go fully inclusive from Halfboard the answer is that the hotel will not give us fully inclusive and will let us know about the upgrade depending on availability.Surely we should receive some compensation or refund to having a partly functional hotel .
