Their customer service is very, very poor and it is simply not worth the risk of ordering from them. I sincerely wish I had looked on this site before ordering
I ordered a bouquet for my wife's birthday - I ordered, in advance, a dozen yellow roses - her favourite. I was assured that this would not be a problem and that they could be delivered to her work address.
About an hour before they were due to be delivered, I received a message on my mobile - stating they had been trying 'all morning' to contact me on my mobile and home phone. As I had been home all morning, I knew this was not the case and I had responded, within five minutes, to the only message they left.
They stated that they could not fulfil the order, nor could they deliver the bouquet to where she worked. I was offered a refund or 'suitable' alternative; I WISH I HAD TAKEN THE REFUND!! I was out of time,and, with my wife due home, I accepted the offer of a suitable alternative as I felt it was too late to do anything else.
Well, how FOUR purple roses, 2 Gerbera, Nerene Lilies, Trachealium, Bloom carnations and also Spray Carnation (mostly carnations in total) could equate to a dozen roses, I am not sure. I was embarrassed to give them to my wife when she arrived home - I could have walked into any supermarket and got something much more professional looking. I apologised and explained what had happened.
To add insult, the roses decayed within 24 hours.
I contacted the company and they were not at all helpful - I sent pictures of the dead roses, taken three days after delivery and they, a few days later, asked for a picture that would have been taken previously to the one I had sent!!!
We contacted Trading Standards for advice, sent letters off to complain and received a response with a £15 cheque!! It was a gesture for the 4 dead roses which were, we were told, worth £4 each!!!
We refused as, for such a focal point of a bouquet (albeit only four roses) to offer compensation for a part of a bouquet without any regard for the fact the whole display was poor - was inadequate.
We have been told that they have consulted their solicitor and,laughably, that a Trading Standards Officer actually visited them in order to look at the picture we sent them!!! I have now contacted the local council, Citizens advice etc and have been told that, as we had assumed, such a visit would be 'highly unlikely'.
I am now going down the route of small claims and watchdog and feel this company were extremely foolish to have made such silly claims that they will not be able to provide evidence for.
DO NOT USE THEM - ORDER FROM A REPUTABLE COMPANY INSTEAD.
