“Shambolic service from Haulage dept”

I placed a very simple order for sandbags for next day delivery. It was urgent as we were expecting to be flooded.(no surprise at the moment) Although the web site said next day delivery, the order confirmation stated 48 hrs, but no problem, still Ok. On the third day, still no deliver, so rang haulage at 9.00. They said they would look into it and get back to me. three hours later, still no call back, so I rang again. She said that she was still looking into it. 3 hours later still I rang again to be told that the goods had never left the warehouse and that the earliest they could be delivered would be the following Monday (6 days after the order!!!!!). I have cancelled and asked for a refund. lets see if that happens.

The only point in their favour was that someone did ring and apologise
