Arriva Bus Travel
Pros:
Cons:
-Incredibly expensive
-Limited routes
-Rude staff
-Out of date equipment despite over charging (look at how much more expensive Arriva is compared to the rest of Europe, and then compare the services, it's pathetic.
-Rarely turn up on time (if at all)
-Oh they also like to drive straight past you, which is nice.
Arriva Train Travel
Pros:
Cons:
-Incredibly expensive (look at Europe averages, also £6 for a round trip)
-Monopoly = terrible service
-Rude staff
-Constantly out of service because they employ a bunch of noobs to maintain their 'service'
-Few carriages especially at rush hour
In England our government likes to try and push public travel but I see no logic reason other than being a student where public travel should be an option, because quite simply despite the ludicrously price for fuel and insurance which preaches ageism it's actually a better option. Why? Because not only do you have the freedom of your destination, you don't need to time your schedule around it and most importantly you aren't getting treated like this by a greedy AF company, who basically are above the law and are free to overcharge, under perform and bully every customer they have.
I'd honestly rather watch the world burn than rely on public travel for the rest of my life. Which ironically is probably worse considering their 'fleet' of buses are basically converted wagons from 1914.
F you Arriva,
Sincerely Everybody in England
