“Good Service etc., but not an endorsement...”

written by Macberry on 20/12/2013

I used quickphoneunlock.com to unlock a Blackberry Z10 from Rogers. This was my first experience unlocking, and overall, I am very satisfied with the service I got from them. I purchased at about 6:30pm, and received the unlock code at about 8:45am the following day (approx 14h and 15m). I had a few questions, and I used the "live chat" feature they have on their website. The two different people I chatted with were able to answer my questions, and were very polite and friendly. I even mentioned that I had read some negative reviews, and his response was: "We have many positive reviews, and some negative ones. As you know it is impossible to make everyone happy, but we do our best to ensure that our customers are happy with our services."

The reason that I specify that this is NOT an endorsement is this: The service ended up costing me $34.99USD, which ended up being about $38.00CDN. It took me a fair bit of my own time to figure it out, and make the purchase, and then actually do the unlock, etc. and in hindsight, most places that could have done the unlock for me (local stores) would have cost me $50. For the $12 difference, it was not worth the time spent. In the future I will most likely just go to one of the local shops and pay them $50, and not have to worry about all the stress, and my time, and so on.

To sum up: If you don't mind spending the time to do it yourself, this company is a good one I would recommend for purchasing your unlock code. However, if your time is more valuable than a $12 savings, then just take it to a local phone repair shop and let them do it for you.
