“Terrible Company - AVOID at all costs”

written by smt12405 on 11/12/2013

At the end of October I sent my HTC Wildfire handset to cash4phones as their webiste quoted me £28.60. As they promised a turn around of 72 hours I expected the money in my account that week. When that didn't happen I contacted the company by phone. I actually got through on this occasion and spoke to a female who apologised and gave the standard "technical difficulties" excuse. She stated I would received a comfirmation email by the following Monday.
I accepted this explanation as up until that point I hadn't read any reviews on cash4phones.
My phone was eventually shown as passed on 11/11/13 and showed payment pending of £28.60.
This is still how my account looks.
I have sent 3 emails via the contact me page but am now unable to leave anymore as it blocks me stating there is already an enquiry on my barcode. Yes, because they have failed to reply!
I did have a reply to the first email again quoting the technical difficulties but promising the money would be transferred imminently.
I did spend 30 minutes hanging on their phone line but eventually gave up.
I am absolutely outraged that this company have in effect stolen my phone. I do not understand why they have not paid up the very small (in comparison to most other reveiws I have read) ammount.
Cash4phones if you are reading this, please can you pay the money into my account asap. the alternative is that I proceed with a small claim and sue you for the price of my phone handset as new and the legal costs along with interest lost on the amount.
If as some reveiwers say, your company is in difficulty/changing hands/changing location then just have to courtesy to advise your customers rather than blocking contact and erasing your phone number.
