A very good holiday where everything went like clockwork. All hotels were of a very good standard and the Fairmont Waterfront Hotel in Vancouver was excellent, and within 2 min walk to the cruise terminal, all transfers etc. were on time.
I would recommend Rocky-Peak holidays without reservation.
The Rocky Mountaineer train was an experience but not totally all good. We went Red Leaf (the cheapest) plenty of room and food was satisfactory for the cost. My only observation is that 12 hours from Banff to Kamloops and then a further 10 hours to Vancouver the following day is a long time to look at scenery, no matter how good. It was also disappointing not to see a great deal of wildlife, 1 x Elk and a few Bald Eagles, but that's not anyone's fault (pay your money and take your chance).
The Cruise was very good but trips and drinks on board were very expensive.
As a first time cruiser I thought all the facilities advertised i.e. Sauna and various restaurants etc. were in the costs, however I now realise lots of things on board are extra. This should be mentioned on the advertisements.
