“It can't be incompetence...”

Sent a share certificate for Royal Mail shares when I requested nominee account. Then took ten days to convert share certificate into a nominee account (not 1-5 as advertised). Now discover that they don't recognise my shareholder reference to allow me to trade via telephone at £7.50. These are precisely the tactics a company would adopt if they were trying to bounce you into using their £45 trading facility. Steer clear.
