“Shocking Customer Service”

I ordered a Dyson hoover from Very on Friday as mine blew up. I ordered it from them as they said that it would be delivered on Saturday and we needed a vacuum quickly. I waited in on Saturday and it didn't arrive. I assumed it would not be delivered on Sunday and I was right. On Monday I received a series of emails and texts saying that my parcel would arrive before 9pm on Monday so again I waited in and again it did not arrive. I contacted Yodel the carriers who said that the parcel had been delayed but could not really provide me with an explanation as to why and said that it may, or may not arrive on Tuesday. Now the fault to here lies with Yodel as from tracking the parcel it was with them. However, I contacted Very to ask them to help me get some kind of confirmation as to when the parcel would arrive as I don't have 3 plus to be sitting and waiting at home (luckily it is my days off work but I generally like to get things done on my days off - not wait round at home). I also pointed out that under the circumstances, charging £3.95 for delivery is a little bit much. In return I received a very dismissive email saying basically Saturday was an 'estimated' delivery date - not the impression I was given when I ordered the Dyson - and if I haven't received it by 15the November to contact them back !. No offer to contact Yodel and find out what is going on or any help at all. I am less than impressed. Until this point my husband and I used Very a lot - not any more. I feel dismissed and let down. What a shame they didn't feel that hey could help me.
