“Unreliable, untrustworthy”

written by Dreamofaredbird on 04/11/2013

I got a quote from these guys (mobile phone xchange) for my iphone4s which was incredibly good. Thought I would send my old ipad as well as they seemed so reasonable.

They were both in very, very good condition and were working fine.

After week I was worried they got lost as I hadn't heard anything from them. I checked my tracking and it said delivered. I emailed and fair play , they emailed back the next day to say it was they could confirm that it was there although they were guessing as they had no eveidence that it was.

The day after I receive an offer email for my items. the ipad had stayed the same but the iphone had gone from £195 to £35! Less than a completely unusuable phone from other recycling places! I was furious! Apparently the phone had water damge which they sent me a grainy photo to 'prove' but it was not clear enough to show whether the indicator was on or not!I have no way to prove that it was water damaged before or 'became' water damaged when it arrived! MAKE SURE you check BEFORE you send weather your phone is showing the indicator or not.

Even if it had been damaged which maybe it was, I had it a good two years, the offer is still appalling. I suppose that how they make money. I rang up and they agreed to up my offer in line with others on the market for a broken phone. The ladyon the phone seemed to not know wehather I would get more or less for a voucher and I would just have to wait and see.

Finally the email and the offers they had at the call centre didi not match. The Offer email I had said I'd sent a differnet model to the one I got a quote for. As far as I'm concerned an iphone 4s is an iphone 4s! I suspect that the money offered actually has very little to do with the checking of items and its fairly arbitrary, this is how it seems.

very dissapointed.

Do not use, sell on ebay instead or use mazuma.
