“Really Bad Service. Rude People.”

This airline is pretty bad. I'm sitting here reading these reviews and most of them could have been written by me. On my trip to Oregon I encountered Delays resulting in missing my connecting flight, had to stay over in a Hotel, no one wanted to help, I and others that had to stay in a hotel. Got off the plane, was handed a Hotel voucher after waiting in line with everyone else that got screwed from the whole thing, we were told to "go downstairs to 15 and wait".....no other explanation. I FINALLY got someone to help me, by this time I had been waiting/traveling for 10 hours on what should have been a simple 3.5 hour flight. Should have already been at my destination by the time I got from Cleveland to Dallas. No apologies, no one wanted to help, RUDE people at Dallas airport. The plane leaving Dallas was awful. Dirty, it smelled horrible, the attendants were lazy and rude. I lost almost a whole day of my vacation visiting my Dad. No one cared. The flight back from Oregon was great. Got to Dallas to connect to Cleveland? MORE delays. Arrived in Cleveland 4 hours late. I will pay double to fly with another airline before I use this one again. I flew every Summer growing up and NEVER had an experience like this. I can't believe my bag , that I had to PAY to check in, made it there on time. Only good thing I can say about it. I actually wouldn't even have complained about any of this, stuff happens, if the people that American airlines hires had any sort of people skills at ALL. The only friendly people I encountered were the two male attendants that were on the flight from Cleve. to Dallas. on October 25th. I run a very successful business and if ANY one of my Team treated someone the way people were being treated by this airline.....I would fire them on the spot. No excuse for people to treat others like that and with the amount of money you have to spend to fly? American Airlines should be ashamed.
