The booking experience was smooth, although the site should have checked the card prior to confirmation of the booking was successful.
The card was declined and we were not aware of that, until we arrived in the hotel... ( it was due to expire next month, but the bank has decided to block it early...)
Therefore, probably the owner of the hotel was upset and we were definitely surprised that it was declined. Luckily, we had the new card with us so we were able to pay for the stay without any issues.
