Have used btinternet.com email address for many, many years. It is more important than my house address.
Access to emails has been re-routed via BT.com, and the email link has gone down. Tried the helplines and they of course are great at trying to sell you stuff but hopeless at resolving issues. Eventually told the site was down and would be beack in 3-4 hours ... and i am still waiting 20 hours later.
Email service has to recognise that serious, time-sensitive information comes through emails and delays like this can have a major impact.
Trust is a major element of which email service provider is chosen. WIth this disrespect of their customers it will be no surprise if BT decide to change terms and conditions or even discontinue the service, leaving me with no access to old correspondence.
