Owning a small construction firm for national and some international contracts, we have a vast array of experienced graduates ranging from engineering to architecture in the midlands. Staff both present and former have usually been very good, however the HR side of personnel is not my forte. So I contacted a 'recruitment firm' in Leicester which i may add seems to be an overrated megalomaniac firm who employ graduates who themselves seem to have never held a proper job/career elsewhere. After numerous calls and waiting through layers of management which really should only be a simple referral, I was passed onto a trainee who was training in the field related to my business. I asked her if she had any experienced to which she stated no, but she insisted she was more than 'qualified' to handle recruitment for my firm, I unfortunately agreed, however her lack of any knowledge and experience related to construction was a serious issue to which she felt she could ignore, she then began to get rude when asking more technical questions and then hung up. I know the name of this person to which I have logged the call and will be making a complaint, but what appears to be a 'professional' company is seriously lacklustre, just like the house of parliament is housed by those who have never had any real life experience, Hayes follows suite with a company acting in employment & recruitment served by those who themselves have never had a career unless you count recruitment 'consultancy'.
