“DO NOT TRUST”

This company is to be avoided at anytime - At face value this company appeared to be well priced. Their local agent took on my credit card airport taxes charges of €120.00 . At no point was I informed of this, by Car del Mar.
Their customer services department was quick to respond and inform me that everything was clearly stated in the terms and conditions. This was not the case.
My recent trip to Sicily was ruined by an accident caused by a third party pulling out of a side road and hitting me in the rear of the rental car, although I was not to blame the local agent still took the excess charges from my c/card and charged me an extra £84.50 for admin fee. It took at least 50 calls + numerous e-mails to Car Del Mar to get my money back.
In the end Car del Mar has paid me some of the excess charges back but not the admin fee. Also because of the exchange rate I have ended up loosing £104.00
So the 2 weeks car rental that was suppose to be reasonable it cost me £207.00 more because Car del Mar did not provide the service they advertise ie “ best price guaranteed – Excess free car hire – No hidden charges “
My package with Car Del Mar was All Inclusive Plus
Personally I like transparency in pricing when making a booking. I would advise against using this company and sticking with a more reputable company / broker who are not out to fool their customers into thinking they are getting a good deal
I can't say it enough, STAY AWAY FROM THEM!!
