“Still Mis-Selling After BBC Watchdog Program”

written by on 11/10/2013

Terrible company. Joined their Lincoln club after the membership adviser expressed an interest in me working hard on my swimming. She said she was a former Scottish National swimmer and wanted to get back into coaching. I told her I was considering Total Fitness over the road and she offered to give me free coaching sessions if I joined. I did, and the sessions (or session) lasted 5 minutes before she made excuses and left.

Beware, unlike most gyms, you are signing up to a credit agreement. My sales adviser ticked the terms and conditions box for me on the online kiosk so I didn't get to see this before I signed. Absolutely hideous sales tactics.

I cancelled my membership and was harassed to keep paying by LA Fitness head office.

I basically told them to stop harassing me or I would sue them and to take me to court if they believed I owed them a genuine debt. Have not heard from them again since.
