“Poor communication with customer”

My comments relate specifically with poor responses from FastCarHire during booking period. I made a booking in May 2013 for a car in Canada for week in September. I expceted the booking to be confirmed and paid for within days. Despite numerous messages (at times I thought FastCarHire didn't really exist) it took until late Augist to receive any documentation. During that time the value of the Australian dollar fell about 15% against the GBP so my costs rose by around 15%. In the end I had to threaten to pull out of the booking to receive any reply. FastCarHire really need to act more quickly and professionally in dealing with customers.

On arrival in Toronto the car was good (upgrade with GPS) but the promised free second driver in original booking was not listed so had to pay more again - another 50 Canadian dollars.
