I have recently moved to UK and my parents visited me for a month. During this time a planned a tour for them and my obvious choice was star tours as many of my collogues had been to various tours before. I booked a 12 day tours called European delights for my parents and they were overwhelmed by the response they received from the tour. The tour was very well planned and the best part was the tour guide Hoshang. He was very jovial and kept the crowd is good spirit and live by cracking jokes and providing all the information in the world. I was appraised by my dad that he was a pillar of knowledge no matter in which country or roads you travel with him. He would provide with all the information even on the roads on which they were travelling. His knowledge was so crisp that he knew on what roads you will find the next spot which would amaze his audience, and well before time so that the people are ready with their cameras. Never during these 12 days he disappointed them and was always calm and composed and answered to all the questions that were put in front of them. The food was also very good and they got the Indian touch specially with all the Indian style chats, burgers and the sweets that were just mouth watering. I had already booked a 9 day tour called Discover Europe with my wife before they departed and on arrival I was just told one thing, keep your figures crossed and hope you have Hoshang as your tour manager... To our luck the same thing happened and we had Hoshang with us for all the 9 days. The other point to mention here is Creig who was our coach driver. He was very humble and inspite of long driving days he would always have a smile on his face. At no point any of the 40 tour members were required to take the luggage from the coach. We would just line them up near the coach and he would single handedly put in all by himself. Even we tried to help him as we usually had a long journey for a couple of days he insisted that it was his job and he would do it happily. During our tour we had a bunch for couples with children of the age ranging from 1.5 years to 4 years and what was amazing from these two guys was that if at all any of the kids would go cranky Hoshang would come to them and play with and he had that knack of keeping them happy and laughing. Also to mention Creig was required to remove the prams from almost 20 to 30 times for all those couples and all the time he was more than happy to do that without showing any disappointment. The other thing which I liked about Hoshang was that he also stopped to a few locations on the way which were not listed in our itinerary and we all were humbled by his gesture. Overall it was a great tour. We made some very good friends during the 9 day journey and also found a very good friend in Hoshang. We look forward to meet him whenever we are back in India and hope to continue with this wonderful relationship in the coming years.
