“I was surprised this month to receive my credit card...”

Good Points
Good Cust Serv Agent today

Bad Points
Previous cust serv. agents were ill informed and misadvised me, therefore harming my credit rating and making me pay extra to the greedy so and so's.

There is an integral trust in using Mint ( RBS ) CC's automated telephone system and ( being advised that i should be careful using it, is really frustrating.

General Comments
I was surprised this month to receive my credit card statement from Mint, which informed me I was £37 over my limit and will be charged a late fee and an overlimit fee.



3 weeks prior to this i had called in to the automated system and paid in £50 which would have met my minimum payment and kept me well under the my maximum limit.



Obviously I was perplexed and questioned whether i had taken the details done it correctly or indeed if I had called in.



Going through my phone records i saw a 5.5 min call to Mint and was pretty sure i had paid it, but had NOT noted any reference number.



I am trying to recover my credit rating, and this did not help me one bit.



I did call in and they reversed my late payment fee and my over limit fee. and the cust service agent assured me as they had last filed details with credit rating agencies on 01/04/09 my credit file will not be hindered.



This has happened to me once before where i was simply told that it was my error and i should have made a note of the ref.
