I had to cancel my skiing holiday with Inghams because they failed to tell us a massive 4 day event was taking place in our hotel (over 3000 extra people a day) (there were going to be late night hot tub parties) with swimsuit contests etc. We decided not only would these large number of people effect my health (I get panicky when there are large crowds) but we also didn't think it would be family friendly (naked girls/boys, 24 hour hot tub parties, lots of drunk people) so we cancelled and accepted the loss of our deposit (because of course Inghams wouldn't ever take responsibility!)
After receiving cancellation confirmation we decided to book the same holiday but a week earlier , through Virgin Holidays (can't recommend enough!!)
We got a phone-call today from Virgin telling us Air Canada cannot book our flights because we already have a duplicate flight booked with Air Canada in their name.
All this time Inghams never cancelled our flights with Air Canada!! I called them up to ask why, and they simply replied that they didn't have to remove our name from the flight details and could keep them on there as long as required. (The guy on the phone said this was so they could sell them to someone else booking that holiday!)
I had to spend an hour on the phone arguing with Inghams to remove my name so that we could Virgin Holidays could book our new flights as Air Canada wouldn't allow us to have 2 flights booked on the same day!
Again of course they wouldn't admit fault.. in fact they tried to get the name of the Air Canada people so they could sue them for breach of data protection!!
Completely stupid company. I will go out of my way to avoid ever having to deal with them again. HAD TO GIVE THEM ONE STAR BECAUSE THAT WAS THE LOWEST I COULD.
