I bought 'DRIVE 24/7' breakdown cover for my daughter before she went back to University. She needed to call them out this evening with a flat battery (she thinks she may have left the lights on but not sure). The man in the call centre was unhelpful and rude and refused to send a mechanic as the flat battery was her fault! This is a lone female in a strange city in the night with it pouring down. After 4 hours he eventually agreed to send a mechanic but said there would be a charge. I have checked the policy and no where does it say anything about not attending for a flat battery. It shouldn't matter how the battery became flat, the fact is she had broken down and needed assistance.
You really do get what you pay for ... my advice, pay a bit more go for one of the reliable big names like the AA, RAC or Greenflag - avoid these jokers at all cost..
