“DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY!”

written by on 17/09/2013

Shop Goodwill, I believe, is the worst example of abusing the public in the name of Non-Profit!

ALL ITEMS they get are DONATED so no cost for merchandise! Wouldn't it be GREAT to start a business and NEVER have to purchase your goods, but get them all free and then set your profit margine at not 100% but 1000's of percentages higher than your cost? This is a big business, which is doing just that and do it under the guise of a charitable organization- helping people, but they are really a greedy, money-hungry organization which is in it for BIG profits and since they have 'cashed in' on the online sales market they've become even MORE greedy and UNcharitable! If you are a poor or needy person and have to shop for items at Goodwill, just go in one of their stores and tell them your story and SEE how charitable they are! Instead of selling the USED merchandise that they have received AT NO COST, at a fair, charitable, amount they are CHARGING MORE than the cost of NEW clothes at a new, retail store!!! UNBELIEVABLE! And just TRY asking for a discount! OMG the attitude is ANYTHING BUT "charitable"!

They are ripping the public off for MILLIONS in high prices in the stores and excessive shipping and handling charges via online sales, and getting MORE than top dollar for their listings. Yet, if they sell a damaged item, they are not so charitable about giving you your money back and put you literally through HELL to do so! Also, yes they give jobs to disadvantages persons, but that also means that they are getting employees at the lowest wages, too!

Of course, there is no way to prove it, without a FEDERAL INVESTIGATION, (which I am going to see if I can get started) but I, apparently along with others who have posted here, am convinced that they are now using SHILLS to inflate the bids of online items! I buy items online all the time and am very well versed with what most items, particularly collectibles and jewelry should go for, but many items are being shilled up to a point of lunacy... prices of which I don't believe anyone would pay! Why SHOULD they, when they can buy an item that is perfectly GOOD on eBay with a return guarantee? Vs. (MY NEXT COMPLAINT)...which is regarding items that are listed in "great condition" and then arrive with cracks, chips or whatever!....Then try to get your money back or a refund! Good LUCK!
Some of the various sellers seem to be better than others, but top of my list to avoid are Columbia-Willamette for way excessive shipping, and suspect shilling along with a NASTY ATTITUDE. Next, is Tacoma, which almost ALWAYS sells items that are damaged, but 'overlooked', MANY ITEMS I HAVE WON THERE HAVE BEEN SUPPOSEDLY AND INEXPLICABLY "lost" AND ALSO slow to GET THE MERCHANDISE, taking sometimes MONTHS to deliver and then arrive damaged with MORE months to get a refund...and THE potential use of shills. I've seen items like Lladro figurines go with bids raised to extremes and then some time later the same item, MYSTERIOUSLY relisted-supposedly due to non-payment!

Anyone who has had similar experiences with shilling, please join me in contacting the Federal Trade Commission in reporting this which should be STOPPED! As for the excessive shipping just keep emailing them and complaining about the shipping, but BEWARE-IF YOU COMPLAIN you may become a target, and yes, your bids are very LIKELY to BE SHILLED!!! I complained to one seller and they actuallly blocked me from bidding on any of their items!!!
