UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES SHOULD YOU PURCHASE A BOILER FROM FERROLI

After buying a property which desperately needed a new boiler, we asked around for a boiler engineer and were recommended someone who came out to see the size of the property and asked if we wanted to purchase the boiler or would we like him to get it for us.

Not knowing where to start when looking for a boiler we asked if he could purchase and fit it for us.

Early December he turned up with the boiler Optimax HE31C in his van which had the 'Ferroli' logo on it, yes you've guessed it he worked for them.

After fitting the boiler he asked us to sign the appropriate documents and said that the certificate would be in the post.

Well Christmas came and went and in January I called him to ask where the certificate was, he called Ferroli and then phoned me back to say that because it was fitted on a Saturday they would not validate the certificate!

Surprise, surprise the boiler broke, I called Ferroli only to find out that they wouldn't send an engineer out because he information sheet at the back of the manual hadn't been filled out by the engineer.

I told them that he worked for them and they were adamant that he didn't. I got him to come round and fill out and sign the form.

I then called Ferroli back and gave them the information, only to be told that he had signed it with the wrong name and that under no circumstances would they come out to fix the boiler!!!!

I have tried several plumbers to see if they are willing to come and look at it but because it has never been certified they won't come and fix it.

I now have to fork out for yet another boiler!!!!
