Very poor service and a "meat market" mentality. It is conceivable that employment opportunities may not be immediately available to all of their clients, however, their "old school" deceitful strategies of attempting obtaining information about previous employment etc., are now common knowledge to most job seekers.
In the modern era and due to the speed at which negative information travels, transparency is the key to sustainability and I truly believe that a more courteous and ethical service would serve Hays much better in the medium to long term.
My personal experience with the London, WC2 branch has been extremely poor and it is felt that, should they continue to maintain current practices, their standing and reputation will be irreparably diminished.
I cannot comment on all branches of Hays, but this particular branch needs to rethink it's approach and operational strategies.
