We flew American airlines in Aug 2013, it was the most horrible experience we have ever had flying. We flew in to Denver CO and found out that there were things missing from our bag that we had checked in. We contacted American air and they wrote up a claim and told me that someone would contact me in a few days to follow up. I didn't hear from anyone for 5 days so I called back and they had no record and told me that the supervisor had the claim and that it could take up to 7 days. So I waited another 6 days and had to call back. When I called back they told me that they couldn't help me. They told me that they do not cover stolen items. I recommend flying with any other airline possible. American airlines is horrible in customer service, and the flights suck. I wish I would have read reviews before ever booking with American.
