“Incomplete Payment”

I have been expecting a bank transfer from Halifax since the 13/Aug, but have yet to received it into my bank account. Following a week a non payment, several phone calls and a visit to the branch later it was discovered that the payment had been removed from the Halifax account but passed onto a receiving bank and was sitting on a suspense account. The money was transfered back to the Halifax account the transfer was made again.

However still after another two weeks this money has not hit the HSBC account that it was due to. Further phone calls and visits to the branch have failed to return the funds or credit it to the receiving account.

This service is completly unacceptable, not only have I been charged on the HSBC account for overdrawn and late fees due to their incompetence, the money is still not in the senders account and therefore cannot be resent.
