“Our Crete holiday”

The Thomson's / Skytours excursion guide has in small print that if there are any extra charges Thomson's will tell us. We went on 2 expensive excursions, Minoan magic and Imbros Gorge and on both occasions had to pay entry fees on top of the excursion price. Another traveller from a different hotel told us they had to pay extra for the boat back after visiting Samaria Gorge or he would have been left there.

When we wrote to Thomson's they did not accept this as a complaint. We feel it should be made clear that Thomson's are only providing transport and a guide if you are lucky. Our Minoan Magic trip was a disaster with the coach breaking down making us several hours late and no English speaking guide.
