I recently returned to the UK after several years abroad in an EU country, and upon enquiry to several major insurance companies, regarding car insurance, including one with a UK counterpart of the company I was insured with abroad (same name, same logo), I was told in no uncertain terms that my 'foreign' no claims bonus would not be honoured. Despair!
Then I found Adrian Flux and the story begins.
I processed a claim on-line and was given a preliminary quotation, which I eventually followed up. One phone call, answered swiftly was, although automated, quickly routed to the correct point, customer services. I explained my difficulty and the young lady immediately put me through to a young man who knew his stuff and confirmed they did indeed accept - with the appropriate proof - 'foreign' NCB's. Joy! Relief! We straight away got down to the nitty gritty and went through the quotation procedure, which though lengthy (I'm not the patient type) was precise and while it was oft repeated because I am a little deaf, he never gave way to tears, rage or despair, but kept a calm and thoroughly helpful demeanour throughout, so that in fact we sorted everything out in one go!
The moral of THIS story is: FluX has the X factor!
