“Still waiting for HSBC to respond to my questions”

I recently had a bad experience with HSBC. They promoted a business bank account as having no monthly charge, so I signed up to it. Just over 6 months later they notified me they were going to impose a monthly charge on the account (they could not legally have done so within 6 months as there was an initial 6 month free banking period anyway). They justified this by saying it was to cover their costs of running the account. But what new costs did they have which they had not known about when they offered me business banking without a monthly charge just 6 months before? I asked them that and also whether they thought it was ethical to act in this way. They didn't answer these questions just sent what appeared to be a standardised letter. I therefore wrote again to ask them to answer my questions. I have still not received a response to that 6 weeks or more later.
